This superb Provençal villa is on the coast in a stunning position between Saint Tropez and Toulon. It has beautiful views of the sea and the Iles du Levant. As well as having a spectacular swimming pool with water cascading from it into a pool below, the house is only about 200m from the sea. The garden is on a hillside and is terraced. There is a small level part of garden near the house and there is a superb covered terrace with sink and barbecue for outdoor dining by the pool. The pool is gated for security but care is needed within the pool area as the furthermost edge has a steep drop and is unprotected, see photo below. The interior is very spacious and light, and the house is well-equipped and attractively furnished in contemporary style. |

Accommodation
There is a very large living room (80m²) which has comfortable seating, a dining area, a grand piano, television and video, and wide French windows opening to the garden. The well-equipped kitchen area is also large, and has a built-in electric oven and gas and electric hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The house has five bedrooms: bedroom 1 is on the ground floor and has a double bed, 140cm; this room has an en suite bathroom with with large shower. There is a separate WC in the hall. On the first floor there is another bedroom with a double bed, 140cm; this room has an en-suite shower room and W.C. Bedroom 3 also has a double bed, 140cm, and an en suite shower room and W.C. Bedroom 4 is a large room with a wide double bed, 160cm, and an en suite bathroom with shower and W.C. Bedrooms 3 and 4 both open onto a terrace with sea views. On the second floor there is a large room with a sloping ceiling. It has twin beds and an en suite bathroom with bath, hand-held shower and W.C. This room has a piano and has French windows opening onto a terrace.

Situation
The house is conveniently near the village centre of Le Rayol and there are shops and some good restaurants within about 300m, and tennis courts about 500m. The nearest beach is a sheltered sandy cove, quite small but very attractive. It is only about 200m, but quite a steep walk home. One local site not to be missed is the Domaine du Rayol Gardens with its wonderful range of Mediterranean plants. Saint Tropez is about 22km, and although busy in summer, it has retained its charm; its quayside cafés overlooking the yachts are well worth a visit. Le Lavandou is about 14km, great for water sports and diving. There is much to visit in this magnificent stretch of coast known as the Corniche des Maures: the little village of La Mole where St Exupéry lived, the family resort of Cavalaire-sur-Mer with its long sandy beaches, 7km, local markets in Le Lavandou, Saint Tropez and Bormes les Mimosa. Nice airport is about an hour and a half's drive.
Linen and terms
Linen may be hired for a supplement of EUR 12 per person for bed linen and towels. Electricity and hot water EUR 45 per week. Heating between beginning November and end April EUR 45 per week. Final clean EUR 100 (compulsory). Refundable damage deposit EUR 450. There is a phone line at the property and internet access is available.
