A comfortable Provençal villa on the edge of the village of Céreste to the north east of the Lubéron hills, in Haute Provence, renowned for its exceptional sunshine record, lavender fields and aromatic plants. The beautiful large garden is secluded and peaceful, with lovely country views.

We highly recommend this property: the layout of the villa with so many of the rooms opening to the outdoors creates a great holiday atmosphere.

Ground floor only:

Spacious L-shaped living room with 2 sets of French windows opening on to the garden and the pool terrace, tastefully furnished with grand piano and 140cm TV. Large well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, built-in oven, separate hob, microwave and fridge freezer. Large utility room with washing machine. Double bedroom (140cm) with en-suite bathroom. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are double (140cm). Bedroom 4 is a children’s room, sleeping four in two sets of bunk beds. There is also a mezzanine with twin beds above the sitting room, access is up steps with no handrail and care is needed. Bedrooms 1, 2 and 4 all have French windows opening onto a terrace. Family bathroom with bath, hand-held shower and hand basin. Shower room with handbasin. Two separate WC.s. Cot and a high chair.

Outside: The swimming pool (8 x 5m) area is south facing and has a wide terrace all around it with plenty of loungers for sunbathing. Outdoor dining terrace and stone barbecue, pool house with table tennis.

Notes: The French owners have a small apartment at the back of the house, which is completely self-contained with its own driveway; their presence does not intrude on tenants’ privacy. The pool is solely for tenants and is not overlooked by the apartment. Pool heated from April to June and September to October (€100 per week). Extra cleaning available 15€/hr. Pets 20€/week/pet. Between the 28/07/19 to 18/08/19 the villa can be rented for up to 10 people.

The house is on a hillside about 600m from the centre of Céreste, a pleasant village with a few restaurants, cafés and shops, situated between Apt and Manosque, about 35km north east of Aix-en-Provence. The area has a lot of local fêtes and activities from May to September with something for all age groups: dances, fireworks, antique fairs, concerts. There is a big cross-country cycling circuit, horse riding, and marked paths for walks in the hills. There are many ancient villages to explore in this area such as Vitrolles, Reillanne and La Bastide des Jourdans, an attractive walled village with a good restaurant and wine cooperative. The region is renowned for its Côtes de Lubéron wine.
