Very clean, kitchen very well provided with cooking pots, crockery, cutlery etc. Very peaceful, nice little towns and food easily accessible. Plenty of supermarkets within easy reach, the SuperU was excellent. My son cycled for bread every day to local bakeries, and the local stores were excellent also. We enjoyed it very much - a lovely area of France. Mrs E June 2008 The owner was very friendly and helpful and came over quickly when we had a power cut to fix the electricity supply. The house was lovely and the garden was great and safe for the children. We liked this area as it was close to lots of beaches, there was good cycling and it felt very French. We all enjoyed it and had a very good time. Mr and Mrs D July 2007 The owner was very responsive to some minor plumbing problems and very pleasant to deal with. The house was a ten minute walk to the main town centre and beach and set in gardens of about 4 acres - ideal for children to play in. Mr C July 2007 The house was perfect - roomy - a quiet and private environment - walking distance to shops and beach. We loved the area and its many varied beaches. Mr and Mrs H July 2007. Warm welcome, fabulous homely house. We enjoyed many things whilst we were there, including trips to La Baule (the jazz was terrific), the salt pans of La Guerande were of interest too, plus shopping, the port at Saint Nazaire, and my little girl especially loved the beach nearby - particularly good for those with small children with its rock pools and other families with children. The H family July 2009
Wonderfully imaginative set of indoor and outdoor toys - thank you to the owners for their thoughtfulness there. We all enjoyed the open plan space and light in the house. Both our small children wanted to spend more time at the 'oliday ouse' as they called it than at the beach - perfect! We recommend the selection of French books at the Café Bateau Livre. Ms R July 2009 Monsieur and Madame were very nice, and genuinely anxious that we had a good holiday - which we did! The house was fantastic for our family. Open plan, tiled floors (easy to keep clean) two toilets, a lovely bathroom, washing machine, dishwasher etc etc. The garden was great for the children to play in. We were a short drive from a number of beaches and the village with its shops and supermarket. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Mr P July 2007. The owner was excellent, most helpful and charming. Lovely spacious house, fulfilled all our needs, and the garden couldn't have been better for children. Mrs G June 2009 The owner was excellent - very helpful. The garden was beautiful, and the house is so close to the beach. The holiday exceeded our expectations, it was very enjoyable. Mrs B June 2007. The house at Le Pouldu was excellent, suited us perfectly. I was so happy to find that the house was in the part of Le Pouldu which has resisted modernisation! My family loved it - the children enjoyed the beach and swimming. I found your information about the property accurate and we appreciated your services. Mrs M Aug 2007. The property was extremely clean on arrival - it was stocked with enough essentials to keep us going until a supermarket visit. The owner was extremely punctual, friendly and had a great grasp of English, which was tremendously helpful. He spent a good time with us showing us the property and advising us on the area and places to visit. The proximity to the lovely cove - about 200 metres on foot - was a gem with this property. The seclusion and quietness of the house was a delight - as was the absence of any touristy feel to the area. The holiday was a complete success! Mr W Aug 2007. Very nice accommodation, close to a good beach and a little supermarket / bakery. Lots to see and do nearby. Good road connections. Mrs N Aug 2007. The property was close to all the things that we wanted to do in Brittany - beaches, ports, walks, restaurants etc. Couldn’t be better. Your services were excellent and very professional, we especially appreciated the help as we planned to go at the last moment. Mr and Mrs J July 2007. "Clean and well equipped. It's in an excellent location for the beaches at Beg Meil and Cap Coz, and Bénodet is only a 10 minute drive. Lovely garden although not enclosed, well off the main road so quite safe for the children to run around) and in a quiet location - bliss! We recommend the bistro on the corner in Fouesnant - fantastic food, reasonably priced and caters for children too. The beach by the harbour at Beg Meil is lovely and sheltered and you can watch the fishing boats come in (and buy extremely fresh fish). Cap Coz beach is great for rock pooling and shell collecting! " Ms M July 2009 This was a great area, better than we had expected - good to be within walking distance of a couple of lovely beaches which is where most of the time was spent. Good house, in fact there was more at the property than listed in the particulars. Lovely quiet area. Mr D Aug 2007. Delightful French owner and her family. Wonderful area. Unspoilt beaches. Swimming pool and garden undersold in your advert. Mrs C Aug 2007 We had a great time, the house was ideal for my family, and the agent was very professional and helpful. We visited Vannes, Lorient, Quimper and Auray amongst others - it's a fantastic base for exploring Brittany. Mr C July 2009 Beautiful area. We loved the fact that we were in the countryside but only 30 minutes walk from the beach - or 5 minutes in the car. We loved the Pointe de Trévignon, boats, harbour, cafés etc. The choice of different beaches was great and the nearby towns and villages were all very beautiful. All the people we met were very friendly. The house was perfect for a holiday home. Open plan living all on one level was great with the children - the garden lovely and the fact that the garden has full sun all day lovely as well! Mrs J June 2008 Your local agent really went out of her way to make us feel welcome at this cottage,; she was very accommodating, especially as we arrived late due to car problems. Peaceful, peaceful, peaceful. Not just the house and surrounding immediate area, but even the area around Trégunc and the coast - very little traffic. Usually we had the beaches almost to ourselves! The location is fantastic - 10 minutes to Pont-Aven and 10 minutes to Concarneau plus Trégunc is a great little shopping town. We have not stopped raving about Brittany since we returned. It was a great mix of culture, architecture and nature all at an extremely reasonable price. We found things in Brittany to be far less expensive than Normandy, and of course Paris. The people were extremely friendly. Mrs B May 2007.
The holiday was better than we expected, we loved the area, the beaches were great, never crowded. We were amazed at the quietness of the area; apart from Concarneau and Pont Aven you wouldn’t have believed it was the height of the holiday season, it was so unspoilt. We would definitely recommend you to others, we were really impressed with the friendly and personal service we received. Mrs L Aug 2007. The owner was incredibly helpful and friendly, and made us feel incredibly welcome. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed - including providing additional equipment for the baby. The house is beautiful, tasteful and full of interesting things and character, and in a lovely peaceful rural location. It is a real get away place. The farm animals are great for small children, as is the big lawn. The area is fantastic - so much to see and do, with lovely villages, towns and beaches. Mrs C Aug 2007. Well located for visits to a number of good places in the area - the house and the garden are delightful. Mrs M Aug 2008 The house is sweet - really spacious and it is great to have two big bedrooms each with en-suite - the garden is lovely - you can walk into the village, which has good shops and a small supermarket, and it’s quick to get to the beach. The area is lovely and the coastal path great for walking. Miss H Aug 2007. The house is a classic of its type - great for the sentimental vieille France fan like me. Great location- the boys got up early on the first day and we wandered out to the estuary before breakfast -I struggled to get them back for breakfast at all... Close to; Douarnenez - for the 1000 sailing boats coming in from Brest; Concarneau - fortress; Penmarc'h - wild beach, museum of pre-history; Quimper - lovely town; Brest - largest aquarium in Europe (beware the giant spider crabs...) Finisterre - what a wonderful place!" Mr B July 2008 The owner was delightful, and it was a fantastic place to stay. There is lots to do in the area, bike hire is reasonable, the town very pleasant, reasonable restaurants on the front. We very much appreciated your efforts to find us somewhere at such short notice. Mr R Aug 2007. Close to beach and attractive towns of Plestin-les-Grèves and Locquirec. Beautiful coastline. Modern house in good condition and well equipped. Pleasant garden with large lawn area. We recommend the markets in Plestin and Locquirec, and the chateau 30 minutes' drive away. Mr M August 2009
Excellent house and a very warm helpful welcome. Very peaceful and easy access for town. Great views. Mr B Aug 2008
Very nice residential area of Grasse, near to several other villages of interest such as Cabris. Nice and private with good views. A very good choice for a couple who want a relaxing break. Mr and Mrs W Sept 2008
The pool was brilliant and the general feel of the place really was tremendous. We are looking at the possibility of returning in the future as we had such a super time. Mr K Aug 2007. Lovely village - house quite central to the area yet away from the hustle and bustle. Mr M July 2008
We appreciated the unique experience of living in a medieval village house and the area was conveniently located to so many wonderful sights, i.e. Cannes, Nice, Monaco, Grasse, Avignon. Simply loved it! Mrs D Sept 2007 Marvellous - more than two well-travelled 'oldies' have learned to expect! The house is a perfect retreat for two - small but in no way cramped. The area just has everything. The holiday easily fulfilled all expectations. Mr and Mrs W June 2009
Absolutely excellent service provided by the owner - everything was supplied that you could possibly need for your holiday, everything was extremely clean and well cared for. The pool was an absolute delight and the owners were very kind to let us have it to ourselves every day when we swam and sat for a while with our books. Mrs A June 2007. The service provided by the owner was second to none, could not fault it. Loved the idea of the book in which to write notes of places of interest, restaurant recommendations etc. Very relaxing week, close to the coast and Mougins and lots of other fab places - we loved it! Ms G Sept 2007 We have stayed in many gites in France over the years, and these were the very best hosts we have come across – helpful yet discreet – they made us feel very welcome. Superb walks in the area – Baou de Gattières and Baou de St Jeannet were both excellent. Fantastic pool. You say in your details that the furniture is a bit dated – we did not find this a problem at all.Mr and Mrs H August 2009
Excellent swimming pool which we made maximum use of, with wonderful view over Nice. We found Nice to be a very desirable holiday location with good mix of beach activities, historic and cultural activities, excellent shopping centre and a good base for visiting adjacent areas. Mr W July 2007.
The owner was very helpful with advice on bus services ( good bus service to and from Cannes and Le Cannet) and local activities. Pool and grounds maintained to a high standard. Secure parking for cars. Pleasing patio and gardens all with areas of shade. Well equipped kitchen. We recommend the local boulangerie - very friendly - and the Art Foundation at St Paul de Vence. Also the town trail at Grasse - map available from Tourist Information office 100m from bus terminus - and the hilltop village of Gourdon. Mr M August 2009 The owner was there waiting for us, a lovely man, very helpful. Fantastic house with all facilities. Beautiful area. Mrs T Sept 2008
The owner was really hospitable and friendly but still discreet. The house was a real home from home with very comfortable accommodation. Beautiful scenery but also accessible from the airport. The photos of the house didn’t really do it justice! Mrs M Aug 2007. It was very nice to have the canal near the house. We ran every morning and it is the first time we have been able to run in the South of France as normally the area is too hilly in the heat. The house was also very well located for access to local villages and towns and shopping. The outside kitchen was lovely and we made the most of everything. The local restaurants in Mougins are generally very nice but we cooked ourselves most of the time. The local produce is so good it is a shame not to make the most of it. We would love to return to this property. We really enjoyed it very much. Ms B August 2009
Mougins is a great area - easily accessible from Nice and so much to do and see locally, not to mention lovely restaurants in the old town. The garden of this house is especially nice with the terraces and the old olive trees. The barbecue area with separate sitting room was great too. Mrs G Aug 2007.
Lovely position in hills overlooking Nice, especially at night. Peaceful location - all this within a few minutes drive from Nice. Lovely garden, excellent, clean pool. Beautiful walks nearby. Close proximity to lovely coastal areas. We felt very privileged and lucky to have had the chance of staying there. We would recommend your services without hesitation. Mr K Sept 2008 We had a fantastic time, very nice location, perfect for our two year old. Fantastic views and quiet. We visited many restaurants and they were all good, mainly we did the food shop at the large Auchan at Grasse. Mr F October 2009
The owner was always contactable, friendly and ready to help in any thing that we needed. The house was perfect, as we had our privacy. The pool was perfect to swim in. The location, the pool, the owners were exactly what we needed. We would go back again. Mr and Mrs S, Sept 2009
The area was beautiful, as were the views from the house. It was good not being overlooked by any other houses and to have the swimming pool area secure for the safety of our child. We didn’t have to worry at all. The kitchen was well equipped, and there were children’s toys at the house for our use, which was good. The location is so close to many other great areas to visit. We had a lovely relaxing time. Ms T Sept 2007.
Good service from the keyholder; efficient and friendly. Great area, away from the bustle of the coast and the more touristy areas, but close to everything. Recommendations? Just get up to Gourdon and watch the sun drop! Mr M August 2009 We loved the area, and the children loved the pool. Very attractive spacious apartment. The S family July 2008
Very nice and quiet - the children particularly enjoyed the games area. Mr M July 2008
C155D A beautiful peaceful location. The pool was well kept and enjoyed by the whole family. The owner was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We had a wonderful holiday and the accommodation was first rate - we would seriously consider returning in the future. Mr E Aug 2007.
We had a lovely stay with a warm welcome - the housekeeper was great during the stay - around and available but non-intrusive too. The grounds and pool were delightful! We loved the area and thought it was ideally placed for exploring the coast and the mountains. Mr and Mrs P June 2009
Delightful owners, very friendly and helpful. The pool is excellent and kept very clean. The house facilities are more than adequate. We recommend the Lac de Saint Cassien, St Vallier and beyond, Mougins, Cabris etc. The G family Aug 2009 The owners were very friendly and helpful - they explained everything necessary (even in English when required!) Superb views of Cannes bay from the villa (remember to take binoculars). Very well equipped house - completely unoverlooked. Excellent location for Cannes, Antibes and the Esterel. The drive between Mandelieu and St Raphael along the coast is amazing... Mr B Aug 2008 The villa is close to all amenities, yet in a peaceful location. It was in perfect condition and the owner is very thoughtful regarding his guests - a charming man and very helpful. I think your service is easily the best I have come across. Mr H Aug 2007. The holiday went very well, property was very good, extremely neat, well kept and surprisingly big. Pool was excellent. Auchan supermarket in Grasse is extremely good and reasonable for supplies. Many thanks for everything. Mrs R July 2009
We were met by the owner’s friend, who showed us around - everything was made so easy. The area was very convenient and the size of the pool was fantastic. We loved the house, and would like to return next year. Mrs W Sept 2007.
Perfect! Lovely owners. Loved the villa and would definitely go back there. A cook's haven as the kitchen was filled with every thing you could need. Music everywhere and veranda the most idyllic place to sit. Another good Susan Paradise holiday! Mrs B August 2009
The owners were helpful and friendly, and flexible with our arrangements. The villas were beautifully clean and linen and crockery supplies flexible, and the grounds were stunning. Ms Q May 2007.
We've had some great holiday venues from you but this one beats the lot. Monsieur and Madame were a delight, and made us very welcome indeed, and the quality of the accommodation, facilities, appliances and equipment made our holiday top drawer! We recommend a visit to Mons for the magnificent views, although the roads are a little narrow and winding. Mr R September Sept 2009 The house is stunning - a fabulous sense of light and air and space. Masses to do in the area if one could only get up off the loungers! The young people in the party made good use of the trains to Cannes / Nice etc. We had a wonderful time. Mr M Aug 2007. Very nice roomy bungalow - loved the big kitchen! Good to be within easy reach of beaches and other towns. Valbonne has some wonderful food shops. Antibes is also excellent for shopping and eating out. Mr and Mrs Q September 2009 The owner was very attentive and there was nothing that we couldn’t ask her. The family do their best to make you feel at home. The house is much nicer than the pics on the web. It is clean and homely and very child friendly - toys and books for the children. The pool is very safe with a fence all around and a shallow end with steps for small children. We had a wonderful time. Mrs G June 2007.
Perfect for a couple - stunning views - very difficult to capture such dramatic views on camera!" Mr and Mrs S September 2009
Excellent pool, probably the best we have used. Cool house and good to have covered outdoor eating area. Comfortable hammock in the garden. Wonderful views. The owners were very friendly and greatly tried to make our holiday as enjoyable as possible, whilst respecting our privacy at all times. Mr I July 2007.
Nothing could have been better. The apartment was very well equipped, the washing facilities were good as was the kitchen area. All equipment was of a good standard and it was obvious that someone had chosen the furniture and textiles with a lot of care. The pool was very clean and the sun loungers were great. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and patient with my French. The views from the apartment and pool were terrific so if you didn’t want to go out much but just laze about, it was right there… Mr B Aug 2007.
High quality service from the owner, friendly welcome. Excellent location for beach at Baie des Anges and excursions inland. Beautiful house and pool. Mr M August 2009 The house was lovely and very well kept, the owner very helpful - she had plenty of tourist information at the property, which was very useful. The area was also lovely and very peaceful. We recommend a visit to Marineland (Antibes) and the local village of Valbonne, which has plenty of restaurants. The particulars were fine, but we felt the pictures on the website didn't do the property justice. Mr D July 2009
We were able to stay a couple of extra days, it was so nice at this house. 11/10 for the owners who were very nice; attentive and helpful in suggesting things to do and see. Lovely large garden. The dogs are very friendly and the children were very happy to play with them. Valbonne is a cute little village with shops and typical Provençale places. The whole family was very much ‘in harmony’ with Provence. La famille F, August 2009
The keyholder was really helpful and gave us excellent assistance and guidance. Very secluded and private location, lovely house and garden with views across the valley to the village of Fayence on the hilltop and beyond to the mountains. Really lovely and perfect, relaxing by the pool , watching the swifts sand swallows. We would like to return for 2 weeks next year as we enjoyed it so much! Mr and Mrs F July 2008 C331A The apartment is absolutely perfect for facilities and location; we found everything we needed and more. In particular we were impressed by the cleanliness and attention to detail. Thanks also to the keyholder for his wam and friendly welcome. Ms L July 2009 The house was beautiful - perfect for what we were looking for. Centrally located, quiet - Valbonne is a wonderful village. The pool and outdoor areas of the house were excellent - we spent all our time there. Ms D July 2007. The services of the keyholder were very good, everything to make life easy, a problem with Sky TV was dealt with promptly without any problem. The house was peaceful and not overlooked, with fantastic views. Mr J Aug 2007. We have spent a very enjoyable and relaxing week in La Napoule. We visited the Henri Clews chateau which was very interesting. We loved the apartment and the view. Everything we needed was here! We hope to make a return visit. Merci beaucoup! Mr and Mrs C June 2009
Perfect for anyone without a car or transport, in fact the bus stop was right outside and the beach was literally across the road. Lots of very good restaurants and shops within easy walking distance too. We had a really lovely relaxing holiday and enjoyed it immensely. I really can’t say enough good about your service. Your attention to detail was exemplary and thorough. Your website is a joy to use - I would go as far as to say I wouldn’t even look at other websites! Mrs Q Sept 2007. We received a very warm welcome from the owners, and were extremely pleased with the house; it was very well equipped. The surroundings are lovely, and there is quick and easy access to places of interest; The Fondation Maeght at Saint Paul de Vence, and the Picasso museum at Antibes. Mr G, May 2009
The house was spacious and well-presented with wonderful views. The owners and their family were friendly, providing a first class service, and the holiday measured up to our expectations 110%! Mr H July 2007. We wanted something rural yet near a village, and this fitted the bill perfectly. We loved the open plan living area. The photos on the website do not do the property justice - it was excellent and we had a brilliant time. This is the second time we have used you - we love the fact that you know all the properties. Mrs B Sept 2007. Nicely secluded property, well equipped , excellent pool and extremely welcome shaded terrace. Probably the best property we have stayed in, in terms of serving our party’s needs. This was most certainly a memorable holiday. Thank you once again for the excellent service. Mr H July 2007. We were delighted with the villa; everything was just as described. The views were great, the location was very nice and tranquil, whilst still being convenient to get to various places and facilities, and everything was very nicely thought out for children as well. We would gladly stay there again and would recommend it without hesitation. Mr R Aug 2007. The house and facilities were very nice. The view was exceptional! It was just perfect for us, we just wanted a place to unwind and relax - with the extensive choice of games, life was great. Mrs C Aug 2007 The owner was very friendly. The villa was spacious and all was very clean. Toddler friendly - the fenced-off pool was excellent. Fully equipped indoor and outdoor kitchen. Beautiful view. Mrs R Sept 2007.
Very good service provided by keyholder - all instructions were clearly marked which meant we could just get on with our holiday without spending time working out how things worked. The house was very cosy. The nearby beach was spotlessly clean and only used by French families. The holiday was very good and the villa was every bit as good - if not better - than your details said it was. Mr H July 2008 The apartment was very close to the beach, shops, airport and other facilities which was great as we decided not to hire a car. The area was lovely, the apartment well equipped and central, and the information supplied very useful. Mr F Sept 2008
The apartment is convenient for the beach even in peak season. Cagnes sur Mer had a pleasant family ambience. We had an enjoyable week. The apartment was newly refurbished to a high standard which greatly added to our enjoyment. We liked the fact that we did not have to hire a car and the airport was not too far away. Mr G Aug 2007.
Many thanks for your excellent service, we look forward to booking with you again, you have helped increase my love of France and an area I had not visited before. A fantastic spot to rest and explore some of the less frequented parts of Provence - the property was all you said and more… Mr W Aug 2008
Everything about the house was immaculate. We loved the little towns and villages in the area, and especially the wonderful views of the countryside. Mrs S Jul 2009
Very good owners - discreet but always helpful if needed. Fabulous views, very new, clean and well equipped. Very light and airy rooms. Appeal for us was that it was approx the same distance to Nice and corniches, St Tropez area and Gorges du Verdon - 3 very different areas. Could not recommend this property more highly. Mr and Mrs W June 2009
The keyholder is very good; attentive, low-key and kind. We liked being a short walk from the boulangerie and cafés. It's a great spot for touring. We used the train from Grasse to Nice. We found drives to Cannes, Antibes and the calanques on the Côte d'Esterel easy from Peymeinade. We had a lovely time. Mrs G August 2009
The entire experience was probably the best we have had over many years of holidaying in France - this property was very acceptable, clean and free from owners' clutter that you so often find, and the pool was superb. Unusual thought has been put into the tenants' experience, and it was all positive. The Grasse area is excellent and good on its own let alone being quite central for the main resorts. I would say all visitors to the area should visit Monaco, but little mentioned is a village just above Monaco 'La Turbie', the hilltop setting of an enormous Roman monument - well worth a detour. After 2 weeks in France we normally feel the time has come to go home, not this time, we would happily have taken another 2 weeks. The P family August 2009 We would like to thank you for making our holiday a good one, it was very hot and very pleasant. The owner was lovely and could not have tried to do anything more for us, even bringing us huge bowls full of home grown vegetables! Smashing. The house is very central to Provence and many parts can be accessed easily. Lots of lovely restaurants and the countryside is beautiful and relaxing. Its a very private property and lovely swimming pool with great views from the terraced area dinning table. We recommend the superb Observatoire restarant in the Place de la Fountaine at St Michel l’Observatoire - excellent French Cooking, and a Scottish lady owner! Further for a Sunday you must go to the Sunday Morning Market in Reillanne at 10.00am, and then go to dinner at Auberge de Priery just outside Reillanne at 12.30pm! It makes a perfect French day! You need to book. We shall be in touch when we go again, and we shall certainly recomend you to any of our family and friends. The S family, August 2009
The owners were excellent, both Madame and Monsieur were very friendly and keen to make sure we had everything we needed. It is a beautiful part of France and is not at all ‘English’... it was nice to be in a place which felt really French. The house is extremely peaceful with wonderful views of the countryside. The pool is great - big enough and deep enough to really swim in rather than just dip in and out. Mrs B Aug 2007. Excellent welcome, helpful and obliging owner. Beautiful pool, the golf club was good, very attractive surroundings. We had a lovely holiday with superb weather and would like to return to the area another year." Mr and Mrs T June 2009 The service provided by the owners was first class they were friendly without being intrusive, professional and helpful. The atmosphere was very relaxed. The house has top quality furnishings and décor. Everything is beautifully maintained. Lovely pool. We’ll be returning. Ms C Aug 2007. The owner was very helpful with day out suggestions, map routes and local restaurants, we could call on her at any time. The cottage complex was beautiful and really authentic style / furnishings. It was really rural and exactly what we wanted - a very beautiful and tranquil settIng. Mr and Mrs C May 2009
Rural location and spacious grounds - we had a relaxing, refreshing sun-filled fortnight. Plenty of scenic and cultural interest, excellent local produce, no crowds - just what we wanted! The A family, August 2008
Lovely pool. Very relaxed atmosphere. Rural area...sun...wine... Mr and Mrs H August 2008 Good location and excellent garaging facilities. Also an excellent guide book at the property for advice on walks and exploration of the Lourmarin / Luberon area. We particularly enjoyed Restaurant L'Antiquaire. Mr B September 2009 The property is very tranquil - most suitable for us because of the nice short walk to local cafés and restaurants. Madame is excellent - most helpful. Mr M June 2007. The best qualities were the view, the peace and quiet and lack of English people (we like to practise our French and find it difficult when all the shopkeepers, restauranteurs and locals all speak English). Very close to the Intermarché and Casino supermarkets - actually cheaper than Auchan and much closer. Very good boulangerie and greengrocer by these supermarkets. Recommend La Ciotat beach. Ms S Jul 2009
The house is close to the village and main road without being noisy. There is a good swimming pool and a warm sun terrace with views to the hills - a feeling of privacy and air. We would happily have stayed there much longer! You could easily stay at the property all day and enjoy the sun, the pool and the view…. but it was an easy drive to Aix en Provence, which was vibrant during the festival. Mr and Mrs C June 2007.
The pool is very private and the garden was very nice indeed. The area is convenient for both sightseeing and beaches. The house and gardens were spacious and it was good to have table tennis. Mr M July 2007. We were closer to beach day trips than we had realised and we also really enjoyed a day trip to Les Baux with dinner in St Rémy. The central location of the house was wonderful! We loved our stay. Mrs M July 2007. For us, the house was ideal for the places we wanted to visit. The situation was also very quiet and peaceful for relaxing. Please pass on our thanks to the owners. Mr and Mrs D June 2007 Easy access from motorway, level driveway, lovely pool, beautiful garden with lots of flowers and shade, summer kitchen, lots to see and do in the area. We had a great time, and the owners were especially welcoming and friendly. Mr G July 2007. The holiday was absolutely lovely and the property was perfect for what we wanted. The owners were so friendly and welcoming and it really made our holiday. The setting was beautiful and the owners had anticipated everything for a very comfortable stay. Mrs O July 2008
The owner was lovely and helpful and provided us with a lovely place to stay, quiet, private and well equipped. Banon was super - wonderfully delicious cheeses and great vegetables. The Forcalquier markets on Monday mornings were by far the biggest and most interesting markets we went to (and we went to markets each day). Thank you for organising this perfect accommodation for us. We had the most wonderful time there and will recommend it to anyone visiting Provence! Ms B October 2009
We have visited the area before and are very fond of it because of the fact that whilst the house is to a certain degree isolated and we were able to relax by ourselves, we were only half an hour from the coast and places such as Cassis. Aix en Provence is beautiful and full of things to do also, and we visited on many occasions during both this stay and the last one. The house itself was superb; very child friendly with a fenced off pool and lots of space. The owners were friendly and accommodating - we could not have asked for more either from the house or from the owner and his wife. Mr S July 2007. Warm welcome from the owners. Wonderfully peaceful and serene location - we could not have wished for better." Mr G Aug 2008 The photos do not do justice to the marvellous location! We were delighted. Every village seemed to offer new discoveries. It was well beyond our expectations and I would recommend it to anyone. The house was comfortable and tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. Fabulous views and a marvellous pool - what more could one desire? Keep up the good work. Mr C June 2007.
St Rémy was lovely, and only 15 - 20 minutes walk from the gite. Ms S Aug 2008
Lovely pool and friendly welcoming owners. Mrs P June 2008
The owners were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The gite had its own private terrace area - separate from the pool area - giving us additional privacy. A vineyard within walking distance. Miss P Sept 08 Great house full of French charm and character. Beautiful area. Mr and Mrs W July 2007. The keyholder was good, very helpful. The house was just what we wanted, all our guests were impressed with the overall quality , and the owner phoned to wish us well, which was a nice touch. Overall we all had a great time, so well done to Susan Paradise!! Mr D July 2007.
Superb villa, equipped with everything needed and more. It's walking distance down into the village one way (bit of a climb coming back - challenging on the bicycle!) - the other way is a lovely walk into a wooded quiet road - lovely for an after dinner stroll. The local people were really nice to us and with our school French and a dictionary we had a really pleasant stay. We loved the little villages of Lars and Dauphin. Comfortable outdoor furniture, beautiful view. One of the best houses we have ever rented.Mr and Mrs D May 2009
