This delightful 1920s cottage is in a superb location, a short walk from the picturesque village of Lourmarin. It stands in 15,000m² of parkland with two other houses and the French owner’s studio (she is a potter and a sculptor). The cottage has its own access and a private garden within these grounds, and a very pleasant secluded terrace overlooking an olive grove. There is garden furniture, a portable barbecue and a private garage. Also the access to the property is through a secure gateway.Tenants are free to explore the whole of the park in which the owner exhibits her work.
The interior is charming and it is has a light and cheerful atmosphere. We think it is a great place for a romantic holiday.

Accommodation
On the ground floor there is a spacious living room with a sofa and an open fireplace. This is a very light room and has a large picture window overlooking the park. The kitchen has a 4-ring mixed hob, a small electric oven, microwave and fridge. There is also a freezer and washing machine in the garage. The W.C. is on the ground floor.
Upstairs, above the living room, there is a double bedroom on the wide mezzanine. There is also a television and CD player here. Next to the bedroom is a small bathroom which has a bath with shower attachment, bidet and wash basin. Both the bedroom and bathroom have sloping ceilings at one end of the room.

Situation
Lourmarin is a typical old Provençal village in the southern Lubéron, in a beautiful setting among the vineyards; it was the home of Albert Camus. It has an impressive sixteenth century château with regular concerts in July and August. This is a lively village with a great selection of restaurants and cafés, a little supermarket, attractive shops and a boulangerie all within easy walking distance of the property. On Friday mornings there is a colourful street market. There is a swimming pool and tennis courts within 1km. Lourmarin is about 30km from Aix-en Provence and about 60km from the sea. There are music festivals and many exhibitions and cultural activities in the surrounding villages, such as Bonnieux, Oppède, Lauris, Cucuron. The Lubéron is also a wonderful area for hiking, horse-riding and rock climbing. Lourmarin is easily accessible from Avignon, less than an hour's drive; there are direct flights from some regional UK airports and also the TGV train now only takes 3 and a half hours from Paris to Avignon.
