These superbly restored holiday cottages are in an idyllic setting in a private hamlet in Haute Provence. The properties stand in beautifully landscaped grounds. There are seven cottages, sleeping 2 to 4 people, which share a beautiful swimming pool, and another cottage for 6 which has its own pool. (The pools are usually available from end of May to end of September). The interiors are delightful and each property is furnished and decorated to a high standard using colourful Provençal materials; many original features have been retained. Each cottage has its own private terrace with a barbecue and garden furniture. The hospitable owners (English and Italian) live in the main farmhouse and are always happy to share advice and recommendations. |

Accommodation
P205C, “Les Chênes”
This is a studio apartment on the ground floor of a converted barn. It has an open-plan living room with kitchenette/dining area, open fireplace, television and DVD player. There is a fridge, oven and a 2-ring gas hob. There is a king size bed, a shower room and W.C. There is an attractive terrace for outdoor dining. This apartment has internet access.

Situation
The property is situated about 2km from Pierrevert, a pretty Provençal village at the eastern end of the Lubéron Hills, about 60km north east of Aix-en-Provence. The village has good local shops and there are four excellent restaurants between 2 and 4km of the property. There are further facilities at Manosque, a market town about 9km. Aix-en-Provence is about 45 minutes drive. Aix is a lively cultural centre with a range of cafés, restaurants, concerts, and attractive boutiques. This is an area little known to British tourists and there are many picturesque villages to explore. The Verdon Gorges with their spectacular scenery are about half an hour's drive. There are many activities close by: pony trekking, walking, rafting, canoeing, climbing, cycling, and Pierrevert itself has an 18 hole golf course, which is right next to the property. It is about 80km to the coast. Nice airport is about 2 hours and Marseille is about an hour.
Linen and terms
Linen is provided except for pool towels. There is also a laundry service. Refundable damage deposit EUR 150 cash. Electricity is included except in the winter when it is read on a meter. The changeover day is usually Saturday but sometimes the owner can be flexible about this.
