This is a very pretty house in a great location, just a short walk to the local boulangerie and restaurant, and a short drive to the coast. The property is in the hills on the western edge of Grasse, almost in the country and has wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. There is an enclosed garden, 1000m², mostly terraced. It has an electronic gateway and parking places within the property. The swimming pool has a magnificent terrace with loungers for soaking up the sun or relaxing under the palm trees. The pool has a security gate and has gentle steps for easy access. There is another superb terrace which goes along the full width of the house and overlooks the swimming pool. The interior has a light and cheerful atmosphere. It is prettily furnished in contemporary style. |

Accommodation
The living room has comfortable seating with an attractive fireplace in the corner and there is satellite television (with one English channel!) and a CD player. The dining area is next to the French windows which open onto the terrace overlooking the pool. The kitchen is separate and is well equipped with a 4-ring hob, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer and kettle for the hob. This room also opens onto the terrace. On the first floor there are three bedrooms, each with a wide double bed, 160cm. There are two shower rooms and 2 W.C.s. A cot and high chair are available upon request.

Situation
The property is tucked away down a lane in a secluded location yet close to amenities. (The last 100metres is a bit steep and narrow but fine for normal vehicles). It is about 300m to the local shops of Saint Jacques including a supermarket. It is about 1.8km from the centre of Grasse which has a good choice of restaurants and shops. The coast is about 15km and the nearest sandy beaches are at Mandelieu-la-Napoule, Cannes and Antibes. There is now an excellent rail link which runs from Grasse to Cannes and along the coast. (There is free parking at Grasse station and the trains run frequently until late at night). Cannes has a wide range of restaurants and it is possible to eat well without spending a fortune. Some of the little restaurants on the beach, la Plage du Midi, near the old part of the town are particularly good. The marché Forville behind the picturesque old harbour has a terrific range of local produce. The property is well placed for exploring the ‘arrière pays’ of the Côte d’Azur with its ancient perched villages such as Cabris, Biot and Gourdon. Also, Mougins and Valbonne are nearby lively villages with excellent restaurants, well worth a visit. There really is something for everyone in the immediate area: nightclub and casino 2km, perfume museums also 2km, tennis 4km, golf 5km, miles of marked paths for walkers in the hills behind Grasse, local markets in the neighbouring villages and world class art galleries in the nearby towns such as Nice and St Paul de Vence. Nice airport is about 22 km.

Bed linen and towels may be hired from the owners for a supplement of EUR 15 per person. Refundable damage deposit EUR 150 cash. Electricity is included.
