This pretty Provençal house has the most magnificent views of the surrounding countryside, the hilltop village of Cabris and towards the sea in the distance. It is on a south-facing hillside and has an enclosed terraced garden, 900m², with Mediterranean plants and mature olive trees. In the garden there are lovely places for sitting out and a hammock for relaxing in the shade. The pool is in a sunny spot and is surrounded by a wide deck for soaking up the sun. There is also a barbecue and parking in the driveway. Access would not be suitable for a low sports car. The apartment is on the first floor and has a private balcony for outdoor dining; the garden is shared with the owners, a very discreet French couple who live on the ground floor. They do not use the pool when tenants are there.
Inside, the apartment has been completely refurbished; it is light and spacious, 65m², and is decorated and furnished in contemporary style. |

Accommodation
The apartment has its own separate entrance. The spacious open-plan living room is attractively furnished and has comfortable seating, a television, DVD and CD player, dining area and French windows opening onto the balcony. The kitchen is separated from the sitting room by a counter bar; it is well equipped with a 4-ring hob, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer and electric kettle. The bedroom has a double bed, 140cm. There are wonderful views from the living room and from the bedroom. There is a shower room and W.C.

Situation
The property is situated on the road to Saint Cézaire about 9km west of Grasse. It is about 800m from the picturesque old village of Spéracèdes which has a good restaurant, a boulangerie, a café bar and a couple of little shops. You can walk to the village (50m of the walk is along a road with no pavement). There is a supermarket 3km and more shops in nearby Peymeinade, 4km, and some nice restaurants in Cabris, about 3km. Grasse is a larger town with a good choice of shops and supermarkets. The coast is about 20km and the nearest sandy beaches are at Mandelieu-la-Napoule, Cannes and Antibes. There is now an excellent rail link which runs from Grasse to Cannes and along the coast. (There is free parking at Grasse station and the trains run frequently until late at night). In the other direction, the beaches at Fréjus, Les Issambres and St Raphael are an easy trip, about 45 minutes drive. The property is very well situated for touring both inland and along the coast: the dramatic scenery of the Verdon gorges and the Loup gorges are well worth a trip; the Lac de Saint Cassien, which is excellent for water sports, is about 8km; there are many attractive perched villages nearby such as Cabris, Montauroux and Fayence. There really is something for everyone in the immediate area: perfume museums 9km, tennis 4km, golf 4km, miles of marked paths for walkers, local markets in the neighbouring villages and world class art galleries in the nearby towns such as Nice and St Paul de Vence. Nice airport is about 40 km.
Linen and terms
Bed linen and towels are provided. Refundable damage deposit EUR 150 cash. Electricity is included. Heating is extra, EUR 30 per week when necessary.
