This charming holiday cottage is situated in an idyllic rural setting by the River Loup. It has lovely views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. There is a large pleasant garden with mature trees and flowers and there is parking behind the house. There is plenty of outdoor space including a “wild” garden and a large grassy area which leads down to the river where you can see the trout swimming by. The south-facing terrace has a barbecue and garden furniture for outdoor meals. The property has a superb swimming pool and the pool is much larger than average for a private house. The pool has a security alarm. There are many scenic walks on marked paths in and around the area. The interior is fairly simple and it is furnished in a mixture of traditional and contemporary styles. We think this cottage is a wonderful rural retreat with the coast just a short drive away.

Accommodation
This is all on one floor. The living room is spacious, 25m², and has comfortable seating, a television, a DVD and a CD player. French windows open on to the sunny terrace. There is also an attractive open fireplace making the house cosy in the winter. The kitchen is separate and has wide French windows opening to the garden. It is equipped with a built-in oven and microwave, a 4-ring hob, a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer and an electric kettle. There is also a large farmhouse dining table in the kitchen. The house has two bedrooms, one with a double bed, 140cm, and a bathroom with a bath, shower, bidet and W.C. The second bedroom has twin beds, 90cm and a shower room and W.C. There is a third separate W.C.

Situation
The property is situated about 10km from the picturesque village of la Colle-sur-Loup which has a good restaurant and a boulangerie. The nearest supermarket is 7km. There are many interesting villages to visit nearby, such as Gourdon in its spectacular position, Saint Paul de Vence, which is a ‘perched village’ with art galleries and boutiques, and Tourettes-sur-Loup which has lots of artisan/craft shops. The scenery of the Gorges du Loup is spectacular and this is a great area for walks and hiking. The nearest beaches are about 20km at Cagnes sur Mer and Antibes is about 25km. The 6km stretch of beaches of Juan-les-Pins/Antibes has fine sand and is well maintained. There is much of cultural interest in this area: the Musée Renoir at Cagnes sur Mer, the Chapelle du Rosaire, designed by Matisse, at Vence, plus all the museums in Nice itself, about 25 minutes drive away.
Linen and terms
Linen may be hired from the owner if arranged in advance for a supplement of EUR 15 per person per week for bed linen and towels.
Refundable damage deposit EUR 200 cash. Electricity is included. Final clean EUR 60 compulsory.
