This villa is in a very pretty region of south-west Brittany known as Cornouaille, to the south of Quimper in south Finistere. It is in a rural location but only a short drive to the beach. It also has a private pool which is unusual in Brittany, so it really is the ideal holiday house. The pool is covered and heated so it is usable all season. The house has a large enclosed garden, 1000m², with lawn and flowerbeds and there is a south-facing terrace with access to the swimming pool. There is a built-in barbecue and garden furniture for outdoor meals. The house has a large basement with a dart board, and there is a garage with space for 2 cars and plenty of parking within the property. The décor is old-fashioned and the house is furnished in traditional French country style but it is spacious and well equipped. The property is very well maintained inside and out and we highly recommend it for a good family holiday. |

Accommodation
On the ground floor there is a combined living and dining room with comfortable seating, television, video and hi-fi. The kitchen is separate and equipped with a mixed 4-ring hob, built-in oven, fridge-freezer, kettle, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a bathroom with bath with shower over it, and separate W.C. On the first floor, there are four bedrooms: Bedrooms 1 and 2 each have a double bed, 140cm; bedroom 3 has 3 single beds; bedroom 4 has a double bed, 140cm, and bunk beds. There is a bathroom with bath with shower over it and W.C. on this floor. There is also an extra shower in the basement, handy for when you come back from the beach. A cot and a high chair are available upon request. The house has electric heating.

Situation
The house is about 2km from the village of Treffiagat which has shops and restaurants. There is a supermarket 1.5km at Ploubannec. It is 3km from Lechiaget which has a beautiful sandy beach and a sailing school. The nearest little town is Le Guilvinec, 4km, which has tennis courts, bike hire and more beaches, and there is also a beach club for children. It is about 8km to the historic town of Pont l’Abbé and the picturesque fishing villages of Penmarch and Loctudy. The area around Penmarch, known as the Pays de Bigouden, is famous for the tall white lace hats or coiffes traditionally worn by Breton women. The Pointe de la Torche, where the championships for windsurfing are often held, is about 8km. The nearest large town is Quimper, 25km, which has a very picturesque centre. There is much to visit in this area including the Musée de Musique Mechanique at Combrit, 12km, and the Musée des Bigouden at Pont l’Abbé. It is about 2 hours from Roscoff and 3 hours from Saint Malo.
Linen and terms
Bed linen and towels are provided but please bring your own pool/beach towels. Refundable damage deposit EUR 500 cash. Electricity is extra, EUR 0.2 per kWh. Final clean if required EUR 50. Local tax (taxe de séjour) EUR 0.3-0.6 per adult per day payable locally. Please note that there are no pets and no smoking allowed at this house.
