This superb 17th century farmhouse has recently been completely
renovated to high standard. The property is in a beautiful secluded
location at the top of a private track. The house nestles into
the hillside and has wonderful views over the valley and the surrounding
hills. Although it is not a working farm, it is surrounded by
the fields of a neighbouring dairy farmer. It stands in two acres
of land along with the owners' house and a converted barn which
is used as an office. There is a private south facing terrace
with garden furniture for outdoor meals. The interior is spacious
and it is comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated in light
colours. The house has the charm of an old property, with exposed
beams and inglenook fireplace, combined with the convenience of
en-suite bathrooms and modern appliances.
Accommodation
There is a spacious and comfortable sitting room with television,
video, DVD and CD player. This room has a large inglenook fireplace
and it opens onto the terrace. There is a large farmhouse kitchen
with attractive painted wooden cupboards and a large dining table.
The kitchen has a built-in oven and a combination microwave, a
4-ring ceramic hob and large fridge and separate freezer. There
is also a utility area with a washing machine. There is a downstairs
cloakroom with WC. Upstairs there are two large bedrooms, one
with a 6ft bed. This room has an en-suite bathroom with a free
standing bath, a shower in a large cubicle, WC and bidet. The
second bedroom has a 5ft bed and a single bed, an en-suite shower
room with shower and WC. Please note that although there are beds
for 5, the house is let to a maximum of 4 adults plus a baby.
Situation
The property is situated about 2 miles from the picturesque
village of Sidbury which has a pub, a restaurant and a general
store. There is a supermarket 4 miles away. Sidmouth, with its
Regency seafront and beaches is 5 miles. The market town of Honiton,
renowned for its antique shops is about 5miles, as is the historic
village of Ottery Saint Mary. Lyme Regis is 15 miles and Exeter
is about 16 miles. There is much to do in the area: golf courses,
tennis courts, indoor swimming pools in Sidmouth and Honiton.
The area is ideal for walkers as there are marked paths going
past the property and the south west coastal path is 5 miles away.

Refundable damage deposit £100 cash. Well behaved children
welcome. Sorry no pets and no smoking. Electricity included. Heating
included (oil fired central heating & firewood). One set of bed
linen and towels per person is provided.
